Modern, multifunctional, a space measuring more than a thousand square metres: in via Tortona 27, there’s Superstudio Più, home to the FLA Flavio LucchiniArt Museum. Inside, thirty years of work by artist and sculptor Flavio Lucchini, who after years of important editorial assignments – which started in the ‘60s with Amica and Vogue Italia – has decided to study fashion from another point of view, exploring "the change it has created over time within us and around us."

For ApritiModa 2024, the FLA FlavioLucchiniArt Museum proposes the exhibition PLISSÉ. Pleated, back in trend in contemporary fashion, is a fabric that seems to transform every dress into a work of art. The precise and regular folds give movement and fluidity, giving a sophisticated touch to the wearer. It captures the light and creates plays of shadows with an architectural flavour. Flavio Lucchini transfigures plissé in plaster or resin, or in steel covered with gold leaf, enhancing both structure and lightness. On display, in the Atelier space of the Museum, bas-reliefs and sculptures that forever fix the form and make the suggestions and memories linked to the clothes of Krizia, Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto eternal. Videos focus on Miyake and his “Pleats Please”. The visit then continues in the space below, with over 650 works on display.

The FLA FlavioLucchiniArt Museum - atelier, museum and non-profit association - brings together over 30 years of experimentation by the artist Flavio Lucchini. 2000 square meters, 18 thematic rooms, more than 650 works on display, which make it clear that Fashion is much more than a simple dress: a real "creation", a cultural expression, a mirror of society, a testimony of the times. Starting from the 1960s, Lucchini created and brought to success the most important Italian fashion magazines (from "Fantasia" to "Amica", "L'Uomo Vogue", "Lei/Glamour", "Moda", "Donna" and others), discovers new talents in photography, graphics and journalism and introduces all the greatest stylists in its newspapers. For thirty years he has been the most influential figure in Italian fashion publishing. In 1990 he abandoned all his tasks to dedicate himself exclusively to art: large sculptures, bas-reliefs, paintings painted with traditional or experimental techniques, digital painting where the mouse replaces the brush, graphic works, small or gigantic totems. They are all dialogues between Art and Fashion, sometimes dramatic, visionary, prescient, sometimes playful, ironic, naive. And again, books, catalogues, posters, graphics, moulds...
