Profumi
How is a perfume born? What are the stages of this enchanting and little-known journey, from a clod of earth to the bottle?
Serra&Fonseca opens its new Milanese showroom-laboratory for the first time, to show how a precious ingredient like iris is cultivated, cleaned, processed, transformed, and blended with other olfactory notes. Hands and senses, effort and invention: thanks to ApritiModa, you will be able to experience it firsthand.

Serra&Fonseca creates fragrances. Founded in 2012 by Giovanna Zucconi, it develops bespoke olfactory projects for museums, exhibitions, homes, shops, hotels, offices, festivals, and other brands.
Among others, it has worked for Librerie Feltrinelli, Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Apoteca Natura/Gruppo Aboca, Lucia Odescalchi, Antonio Marras, Mediterranea, The Shit Museum, the FAI, and also for ApritiModa (in 2024), with a fir and panettone scent that evoked the anticipation of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
It is a story rooted in the land, from the hills of Piacenza where the company grows lavender, iris, immortelle, and other plants for perfumes, then distills them in a steam current to obtain the purest essential oils.
It is a unique story, just like the expertise and direct care of the entire production chain—from agriculture to extraction, from fragrance creation to marketing and communication.
