Gallia and Peter are the surnames of two lovers with a shared passion for millinery. The story begins in Turin in 1904 when Angela and Filippo Gallia made hats for the Royal House. Towards the end of the 1920s, her daughter Mariuccia moved to Milan and married the son of Cornelia Peter, a well-known milliner in the city. This union in 1930 led to the opening of the boutique in via Montenapoleone. After years of fairytale hats, in 1953 Gallia and Peter's hats paraded at Palazzo Pitti together with Jole Veneziani, Wanda Roveda and Mila Shön. A unique know-how that is passed down to his daughter Lia during the evolution of fashion and generations of stylists such as Giorgio Armani, Gianni Versace and Gianfranco Ferrè.
