1962 is the starting date, when Anita and Piero founded Colombo Industrie Tessili, united by a passion for fabrics cultivated in the Como area. Thus the sons Stefano and Massimo, who grew up among finishing and looms, continue the family business by sharing it with new ideas, contaminations and creative innovation. The Gecko is the guide animal that makes the signature of the Como reality recognizable on the fabric but in reality it is also the nickname of the founder and an adjective for the DNA of Colombo Industrie Tessili. In the Como dialect Ghezz (gecko, green lizard) means "awake, lively". Today the Group based in Fino Mornasco has within itself all the phases of fabric creation: from the style office to the dyeing, the circular weaving phases, the finishing and the Creative Lab where the experience gained in more than sixty years becomes blood for new collaborations. A research that translates into Its Arte, MarioBoselli Jersey, Colombo and Progetto|62, an incubator of ideas led by the young designer Arman Avetikyan. The doors of Colombo Industrie Tessili, in fact, are always open to artisans, fashion schools and artists. It is no coincidence that in 2023 a project with the Froy brand for the recovery and reuse of industrial waste by artisans from Valtellina was awarded the Compasso d'Oro.
