Piacenza Cashmere, founded in 1733 in Pollone, is one of the oldest Italian textile companies, renowned for its ultra-soft cashmere garments. For over two centuries, the Piacenza family has been synonymous with quality, innovation, and sustainability: the company carefully selects raw materials such as cashmere, alpaca, and vicuña, creating refined fabrics that combine artisanal tradition with modern technologies, reflecting the excellence of Made in Italy.

It is one of the most important luxury manufacturing groups, a family story continuing for fourteen generations, successfully blending modernity—the factory is a modern, quiet, and minimal building—with the most respectful traditional processes, starting with carding, a sort of finishing of the fabric using thistle flowers.

The story goes far back, to when the founder traveled to Great Britain by horse-drawn carriage to purchase the finest wools arriving from the colonies. In recent years, the company has expanded by acquiring another historic Biellese mill, Fratelli Cerruti, whose factory is located in the center of Biella, on the banks of the Cervo River, in a building of industrial archaeology protected by the Fine Arts authorities.
