Museo Passamaneria Massia Vittorio 1843
Via Maria Bricca, 20, Pianezza (Torino)

Manifattura
For 6 generations, the Massia family has been synonymous with trimmings. And its home has always been Turin, right in the Palazzo dei Conti Giriodi di Pannissera, where Silvio Pellico wrote “Le mie prigioni”, returning from Spielberg. Inside, rosewood and brass details give the workshop an atmosphere of yesteryear. Supplier of the Royal House of Savoia (from 1843) and recognisable by the purple thread that is hidden in every weave. The legend has it that it’s a love story that caused the beginning of the “colour of violets” thread signature. Jacquard and mechanical looms together with accuracy for the smallest detail make cords, fringes, bows and frogs sought-after by fashion and designers.

Passamaneria Massia
Via Maria Bricca, 20, Pianezza (Torino)
