When everyone was still thinking of traditional “scarpets,” Mario Biasutti looked to leather bags. It is 1985 and in San Daniele del Friuli the story of Mabi International begins. The first years of activity are dedicated to the development of his own brand (Andrea Mabiani) then, after demonstrating excellent “savoir-faire,” he also begins to create for leading leather goods houses. In the 1990s he founds MABIPELL in the province of Padua, in 2004 he opens the laboratory dedicated to the research of new BLUPELL items also in San Daniele. In 2011 he also arrived in Scandicci, just outside Florence, with MABIFIR: for the production of small leather goods. The high profile acquired in the market by MABI makes a major French fashion house decide to join the corporate structure and invest resources in growth and innovation, until the final acquisition in 2023.
