It is difficult to say what is more fascinating: the tanks that are over ninety years old, where the leather must rest, the dryer, walking among piles of leather waiting to be transformed or the reflection on the water in the pond outside the tannery, where we read: “Ha futuro memoria” (installation by Matteo Attruia). The Presot Tannery has had a unique atmosphere since 1932, the year in which vegetable tanning of leather began. A reality in the heart of Porcia, a few kilometers from Pordenone, which reached the peaks of the Himalayas, with the expedition to K2 in 1954. Presot is the surname that founded and has guided this reality for four generations and which continues, respecting matter, environment and people, the family business. An industry that supplies leather for high fashion houses and which has the sensitivity of art in its nature.
