Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua
Santa Croce, 1320, Venezia (Venezia)

Laboratorio / Atelier Manifattura
The headquarters of Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua are located in the heart of the Santa Croce district, a stone's throw from the Grand Canal: it’s there that the Bevilacqua family has maintained one of the oldest traditions of the city since the 16th century. Beyond the entrance door, the eighteenth-century looms recovered by Luigi Bevilacqua in 1875 from the Silk School of the Serenissima, the same ones depicted in the Encyclopedia of Diderot and D'Alembert. Not only hand-made velvets, but also brocades, checkers, lampas and satins for prestigious theatres and residences such as the White House, the Kremlin and the Stockholm City Hall.

Tessitura Luigi Bevilacqua
Santa Croce, 1320, Venezia (Venezia)
Since 1875, Tessitura Bevilacqua has kept the Venetian textile tradition alive. Specialized in the production of velvets and fine fabrics, it still uses eighteenth-century looms to create fabrics of extraordinary beauty. Craftsmanship allows the creation of fabrics rich in detail and complexity, such as textured velvets and damasks, often used for luxury furnishings and high-end fashion.
