A story of rebirth and continuous evolution. To explain what the BasicNet Group of Turin is today, which controls Kappa®️, Robe di Kappa®️, Jesus®️Jeans, K-Way®️, Superga®️, Sabelt®️, Briko®️ and Sebago®️ we must go back to the last century. It all began in 1917 with the establishment of the Turin Calzificio, then the First World War. In 1951 the new headquarters became Maglificio Calzificio Torinese and Kappa®️ was born, a name that refers to the acronym that identified a quality product, then with Maurizio Vitale in the Sixties came the iconic Omini logo with a boy and a girl leaning back to back . Creativity and provocation become a constant for Jesus®️Jeans with Oliviero Toscani's advertisements in the Seventies. Then Marco Boglione arrives and understands the value of sportswear, from Commercial Director of Robe di Kappa®️ he goes on to dress the American national athletics team at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. Boglione will return in 1994 to lead the business, creating the BasicNet project. It follows the listing and acquisitions of K-Way®️, Superga®️, Sabelt®️, Briko®️ and Sebago®️. In the Group's headquarters, over one hundred years of cultural heritage. History, fashion and made in Italy can be found in the 26 thousand archive pieces. While today, we continue to work thinking about tomorrow.
