Tessitura La Colombina - Weaving Mill
PIAZZA INDIPENDENZA 9, BADOERE DI MORGANO (Treviso)

Laboratorio / Atelier
In the semi-circular square created by the Venetian Badoer family is the heart of Badoere di Morgano, in the province of Treviso. On one of the four sides of the large courtyard of white pebbles, where Tessitura La Colombina is located, you can hear the beating of the 14 orthogonal wooden looms. Four generations have passed, a migration from the Lombard silk mills (of which the Colombo family originates) to wool and an industry of 120 people. Its soul is enclosed in hand-woven fabrics, as they were made in 1985, while the selection of raw materials - from hemp to nettle to metal threads, represents the future.
