Intesa San Paolo

Intesa Sanpaolo is Italy's leading banking group - serving families, businesses and the real economy - with a significant international presence

Intesa Sanpaolo’s distinctive business model makes it a European leader in Wealth Management, Protection & Advisory, highly focused on digital and fintech, in particular with Isybank, the Group’s digital bank.

The Group believes that creating value means driving growth in society and the economy. With over 400,000 employees and around 50,000 companies, the fashion industry is a fundamental part of the Italian economic and manufacturing fabric. Intesa Sanpaolo works alongside Sistema Moda Italia (SMI) - one of the world’s biggest representative organisations of the textile and fashion industries - through an agreement to support its member companies and the entire supply chain with the aim of revitalising all segments of the value chain through financial liquidity, the acceleration of investments in the 4.0 transition, sustainable growth and the circular economy.

Intesa Sanpaolo is an active part of Italy’s economic fabric and over the course of its 2022-2025 Business Plan intends to support the real economy with a programme dedicated to the initiatives of the NRRP,
providing over €410 billion of new medium- and long-term loans, €270 billion of which dedicated to businesses. Various innovative projects have been launched, such as “Motore Italia Transizione Energetica”, a strategic programme that makes €76 billion of liquidity available to companies to encourage investments in renewable energy sources and accelerate energy self-sufficiency processes; the “Sviluppo Filiere” programme, which seeks to help leading Italian businesses in high-potential supply chains, such as textiles, to grow in line with the NRRP guidelines. At a time of uncertainty and difficulty, the Bank has made a total of €40 billion of liquidity available to households and businesses, €12 billion of which specifically to help companies cope with rising commodity prices and embark on or strengthen energy self-sufficiency processes.

In addition, Intesa Sanpaolo has published three talks on the Italian fashion industry on its podcast platform
