ApritiModa returns – now in its 9th edition – the event that on October 25 and 26 will open the doors of some of the most representative and evocative places of Italian fashion. Created by journalist Cinzia Sasso, over the years it has become an unmissable autumn event, capable of showcasing and narrating the priceless heritage of Made in Italy.
ApritiModa this year, more than ever, takes us behind the scenes of magical places, uncovering treasures that would otherwise remain hidden, where creativity meets tradition and the future intertwines with the past. From A to Z, from Armani to Zegna, around one hundred houses, from north to south of Italy, will open their doors for free guided tours and meetings with designers, artisans, and craftsmen: custodians of knowledge that is the heritage of our country. For the thousands of curious visitors, enthusiasts, and travelers who take part, it also becomes the perfect opportunity for a weekend exploring surprising territories rich in history.
And it is precisely the stories that make this edition unforgettable.
In Garlate, in the province of Lecco, we are welcomed into the enchanted world of Antonio Riva, among tulle, organza, and lace, where every detail leads to the creation of a fairytale wedding dress.
In Piacenza, we step into the atelier of Ettore Bilotta, the designer behind some of the world’s most elegant airline uniforms, and get a close look at where his creations come to life.
Under the arcades of Santarcangelo di Romagna, we meet Lavs, the visionary universe of Filippo Sorcinelli, the artist who designed papal vestments: for the first time he reveals the secret places where masterpieces of spirituality and style are born. Nestled in the Val d’Ossola, the Manifattura Domodossola tells the story of a long family tradition turned into excellence, weaving over a million meters each year of leather, fibers, and copper.
In Valchiavenna, in Gordona, Blossom Skis reveals the birth of a ski: from wood to carbon, a process of precision, passion, and skilled hands.
In Trieste, the Dezen Dezen workshop transforms ancient family prints into garments and accessories, giving them new life and beauty.
In Presina, a hamlet of Piazzola sul Brenta, within the barchessa of a Venetian villa, D’orica transforms gold into fabric, creating hand-sewn jewelry with needle and thread. Today its story expands with Treesure, a unique collection weaving not only gold but also silk, uniting lightness and strength in one-of-a-kind creations.
In Milan, in the Lambrate district, the Ilariusss atelier is a workshop of wonders. Here, four female hands turn fabric into hats and headpiece-sculptures that have conquered international runways and icons: from Margot Robbie at the Barbie premiere to Amal Clooney at the Vatican, and from Malika Ayane to Farida Khelfa.
In Naples, cufflink master Barbarulo will inaugurate, with ApritiModa, the public opening of his extraordinary collection of unique and antique pieces.
Finally, a tribute to the king of Italian and international fashion: Giorgio Armani. Close to ApritiModa since the very first edition, he opens his Armani Silos for an exclusive visit to the Armani Privé exhibition.
Meanwhile, at the FLA FlavioLucchiniArt Museum in Superstudio, the exhibition “THANK YOU GIORGIO. The Influence of Giorgio Armani in the Works of Flavio Lucchini” is open. A personal tribute that the artist dedicates to the King of Fashion.
ApritiModa is a journey into the Italy of beauty and craftsmanship: from haute couture ateliers to jewelry workshops, and to technical clothing designed with the 2026 Winter Olympics in mind. A unique opportunity to discover the hidden soul of Italian fashion. To participate, all it takes is a simple booking on the official website (www.apritimoda.it).
“ApritiModa is not just an opportunity to visit, – says Cinzia Sasso – but an experience that makes people discover and love an intangible heritage made of knowledge, techniques, and creativity. A journey into the creative soul of our country, a chance to discover that behind every garment, every accessory, every fabric there is a world made of passion, history, and vision. An initiative that unites the public, businesses, and institutions, with the goal of celebrating and promoting the authenticity and quality of Made in Italy worldwide.”
The collaboration between NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, and ApritiModa is renewed once again. For this ninth edition, it includes a contest launched to Academy students together with the Prosecco DOC Consortium. The competition calls for the design of graphics for the neck warmers of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
